I live in Lancashire and spend as much time as I can painting from my studio and Gallery in Lytham. After a time at Glasgow School of Art I considered the possibility of being an `artist` and ended up with the confidence to exhibit around the UK.
My work is rooted in a deep connection to the landscapes of the North of England—a place where rugged hills, shifting skies and endless coastal walks hold stories that feel both timeless and personal. I am drawn to the contrasts of this region and the drama of storm clouds rolling over the land. Through painting, I aim not only to capture the physical beauty of these places, but also the atmosphere and emotion they carry—the solitude, resilience, and quiet power of the northern landscape. Each canvas becomes a way of pausing and paying attention, of honouring a landscape that is constantly changing yet enduring, and of sharing the profound sense of belonging and awe it inspires in me.
